Join Camp Chief Ouray at YMCA of the Rockies as the Target Sports Director, a senior program leader overseeing archery, riflery, and related target sports. You’ll ensure safe, high-quality instruction while mentoring staff and creating meaningful, confidence-building experiences for campers.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all target sports programming and staff
Ensure compliance with Colorado Child Care Licensing, ACA, and USA Archery standards
Train, schedule, coach, and evaluate target sports instructors
Develop lesson plans and uphold consistent safety and risk-management practices
Oversee equipment inventory, inspections, and maintenance
Collaborate with camp leadership to support smooth daily operations
Qualifications
Must be 21+ years old
USA Archery Level 1 certification (or higher)
Riflery instruction experience or NRA Instructor Certification
CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
Prior youth or camp leadership experience preferred
