Overview
Big Sky Youth Empowerment (BYEP) is a nonprofit adventure-based mentoring program in Bozeman,
Montana, that has served vulnerable youth in the Gallatin Valley for the past 22 years. BYEP offers a
group social emotional life skills curriculum paired with outdoor adventures to youth in grades 7-12. Our
mission is to provide opportunities for vulnerable teenagers in the Gallatin Valley to experience success,
and become contributing members of our community through group mentorship and experiential
adventures.
The Operations Assistant provides support in a variety of ways to Program operations, building and
vehicle maintenance, BYEP fundraising events, and community outreach. The ideal candidate for this
position is someone who is self-motivated, organized and efficient, is able to prioritize, and willing to
learn. This is a part-time position with 10-20 hours a week depending on the season.

Qualifications:
● Current driver's license with a clean driving record
● Must be able to pass background check
● Communicate and interact professionally with BYEP staff, community partners, and other key
stakeholders
● Attention to detail
● Ability to work independently and follow through
● Ability to use hand tools and lightweight power towels (e.g. drill, saw)
● Mechanically inclined; comfort with doing light vehicle maintenance
● Must be able to lift 50 lbs
