The Environmental Justice Program Manager works as part of a team to advance our mission, core values, and strategic initiatives. Our mission is working collaboratively in the Kansas City Metro to protect our region’s natural resources for the benefit of all community members. The Environmental Justice Program Manager works with the Executive Director, Board, volunteers, Alliance members and other staff to develop, plan, implement, evaluate, and improve conservation projects.
Key projects include leading the Blue River Urban Waters Federal (UWFP) Partnership, directing HCA’s environmental justice initiatives, managing HCA’s Restoring Vacant Lots program, leading multiple community work groups, and administering HCA’s alliance services engagement.
The Environmental Justice Program Manager will facilitate the sustainability and development of new and existing environmental justice and alliance programs that support the mission of the organization. The position will be the organization lead for grant identification, solicitation, writing, and management in the program area. The Environmental Justice Program Manager will assist the Finance & Operations Director with budget development and management for their program area.
