Overview
Field Education Faculty work with trip leaders of youth, family and adult groups to customize field science programs in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Faculty also train and coach field educators who may be paid instructors, graduate students or AmeriCorps members. Faculty also manage the logistics and administrative work of the Field Education team. The administrative work includes a programmatic focus area. This faculty position has a focus area of the Doug Walker Challenge Course (i.e. Ropes Course).
Qualifications:
Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in education and in the workplace
Minimum of three years of experience teaching in a combination of formal (K-12) and informal (outdoor/environmental education) settings
Experience coaching educators
Ability to manage risk and make leadership decisions in front and backcountry settings
Experience facilitating programming on both low and high elements of a challenge course preferred
