Hourly, Full Time, Year-Round Position
Pay Range: $18 – $21, DOE
The Recovery Support Specialists position facilitates client activities, provides supervision, and maintains program expectations and boundaries between the hours of 5 pm and 8 am. Currently, shifts range in length from 7 hours to 14 hours.
The longer shifts such as 12 to 14 hours are typically shifts on the weekends. As the company grows, we are working on improving the schedule to make it more ideal for our Recovery Support Specialists and while also providing the needed coverage. Our goal is to get each Recovery Support Specialist at least two consecutive days off per week. We also will always have 2 or more Recovery Support Specialists working.
The Recovery Support Specialists get to see a different side of the clients than a lot of our clinical team — as they get to see them “with their hair down” as clients will often try to wear a mask of doing really well to their therapists, thinking that will get them home sooner.
There is also a huge impact that this role has — in modeling healthy dynamics and interpersonal interactions in real time. Our clients often come from dysfunctional families and have not seen adults actually living up to a standard and interacting with respect for others.
We firmly believe that every single person who works at Triple Divide Lodge has an impact on the clients who come through our program and are looking for people who want to not only do the job but also have a heart to work with this population.
Qualifications:
Possess or quickly attain a current First Aid Basic and CPR or greater.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrate an aptitude for empathy with patients.
Demonstrates the following skills: respect, discretion, regarding self-disclosure, openness to feedback and giving objective feedback.
Required Skills:
Must have a valid drivers license.
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
If in recovery, must have at least one continuous year of sobriety/abstinence.
Requires basic computer skills
Must be able to stay awake and alert during all shifts.
Able to walk, bend, and move in the course of completing duties.
Must be 21 or older
Preferred Skills:
Must be able and willing to facilitate a therapeutic environment for clients within their care.
Possessed excellent written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
About Triple Divide Lodge
Triple Divide Lodge is the only program of its kind. It is a 90-day Residential Treatment Program for adolescent males 14-19.
We are a residential treatment program founded on 12 Step program that incorporate elements of adventure and wilderness therapy. We help young men struggling with substance use disorders and related co-occurring disorders.
Our clinical model helps clients overcome their substance use issue by getting outside of their comfort zones and experiencing the growth wilderness inspires.
