Overview

Job Summary: 

The Camp Property Manager  has responsibility to contribute to the overall mission and goals of the YMCA Camp by providing leadership and management of the operations and planning of a camp facility.  This position supports and oversees one camp location and provides essential input as a part of the camp leadership team. 

2.  Essential Functions: 

Supervise the operation of the camp facility to ensure their usefulness in camp programming. Supervise all custodial and maintenance functions.  Supervise the maintenance of all owned and rented vehicles. 
Manage the preventive maintenance programs of the Camp to ensure protection and enhancement of the Camp’s property and facility assets.
Develop and manage annual plans, priorities, and budgets for facility operation and maintenance. 
Work with the Executive Director in developing and prioritizing facility planning needs which may include but not limited to securing bids from contractors and managing projects.
Work hands on in many varied facility maintenance tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work, and to identify when a professional is required or more efficient.
If applicable, may serve as a leader of summer camp program staff. 
If applicable, manage the canoe maintenance program to enhance the role of wood canoes at the camp.  Establish and implement annual goals and manage budget. 
Participate as part of the Camp Leadership Team in setting organizational direction and priorities. 
Assist with providing staff input to the Board of Management, alumni, and volunteer development, where and when possible.  Organize and manage volunteer involvement in facility projects which enhance overall goals.
Serve as staff, with the Executive Director, to the Building and Property Committee.
