Help Young Adults Discover What’s Possible
YMCA of the Rockies is seeking a Gap Program Facilitator to mentor and guide young adults ages 18–23 in a season of personal growth, outdoor adventure, community living, and meaningful work.
As a facilitator, you’ll lead participants through experiences that challenge them physically, emotionally, and socially while helping them build confidence, resilience, independence, and lifelong connections.
What You’ll Do
Lead hikes, backpacking trips, camping excursions, and outdoor adventures
Facilitate weekly program days focused on growth, reflection, service, and community
Mentor participants through challenges, transitions, and personal goals
Foster a supportive and inclusive community where participants feel seen, valued, and connected
Coordinate trip logistics, equipment, transportation, and safety planning
Serve as a positive role model while helping participants navigate work, housing, and community life
What We’re Looking For
You thrive in the outdoors, connect naturally with people, and understand that growth often happens outside of a person’s comfort zone.
Ideal candidates will have:
Experience in outdoor education, recreation, guiding, camping, or youth development
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
The ability to mentor and support young adults
Sound judgment in dynamic and sometimes challenging situations
A passion for adventure, community, and helping others grow
